To open its new dance season, the Paris Opera kicks off with a ritual as eagerly awaited as it is appreciated: the Défilé du Ballet. From the petits rats of the Ballet School to the Étoiles and not forgetting the Junior Ballet, the entire company takes to the stage of the Palais Garnier to greet the audience.

The evening continues with the repertoire debut of Requiem for a Rose by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, performed by the Junior Ballet: a piece that uses the metaphor of red roses to explore the themes of romance and love. Finally, the gala concludes with a pillar of the Romantic repertoire: Giselle, a work in which betrayed love is transcended by forgiveness in a flood of white gauze.
