PRIX DE L’AROP 2018
The Association for the outreach of the national Opera of Paris (AROP) aims to support the young artists in formation at the Opera. Since 1986, the AROP rewards a young female and a young male dancer from the Ballet who performed important variations of the repertoire during the past season. On the 57 rewarded dances, 24 were named Étoiles.
Since 1998, the AROP rewards a young female and a young male singer from the Académie, based on their performances and concerts during the past season. Many of the rewarded artsits, such as Elena Tsallagova, Stanislas de Barbeyrac and Marianne Crebassa sang on the most prestigious scenes of the world.
The members rewarded with the Dance Prices 2018, the sujets Bianca Scudamore (19 years old), for her performances in La Dame aux Camélias (John Neumeie) and the Swan Lake (Rudolf Noureev), and Pablo Legasa (22 years old) for his performances in Don Quichotte (Rudolf Noureev).
The Lyrical Prices went to mezzo-soprano Farrah El Dibany, in residence since September 2016 at the Académie, and tenor Maciej Kwasnikowski in residence at the Académie since September 2017. Both were distinguished for their in the programmation of concerts of the Academie and their roles of Prinz Orlofsky and Alfred in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss.
