Play was awarded the Golden Prague Prize 2019 for Best Life Performance Recording
This year, the 56th international television festival Golden Prague ended with a closing ceremony during which the festival awards have been presented.
The Golden Prague festival is one of the most prestigious ceremonies of its type and holds a major place in the Czech television’s image. Play’s recording (that was also released on DVD) won the Golden Prague 2019 for the best recording of a live performance.
Dazzling figure of the contemporary dance stage, choreographer Alexander Ekman studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet. He started his career as a dancer in the Nederlands Dans Theater and the Ballet Cullberg before he dedicated himself to choreography. His deep yet with a hint of humour style combines theatre arts, classic and contemporary languages. He is renowned for his spectacular shows.
