Ma nuit chez Dante

27 February 2025Étoile dancer Mathieu Ganio bids farewell to the stage

A hybrid show combining literature, contemporary music and electro, Ma nuit chez Dante is conceived as an echo of Pascal Dusapin's opera Il Viaggio, Dante (presented at the Palais Garnier from March 21 to April 9, 2025).

This exceptional evening offers the spectator a journey through the rooms of the Palais Garnier under the aegis of the Divine Comedy, with each performance constituting a stage in its own right.

Following in the footsteps of the "diseurs en rime" who popularized the Comédie in his time, French actor Denis Lavant pays tribute to Dante's text in a "precipité poétique" accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Bruno Ducret. Soprano Raquel Camarinha and pianist Yoan Héreau then perform La Natura del Mondo, a piece by Pascal Dusapin based on an excerpt from Paradise, as a prelude to his opera. In the course of the evening, saxophonist Laurent Bardainne and pianist Eve Risser will serve as guides to the sounds of Albert Ayler's Angels.

Finally, to the opening verses of L'Enfer, electro duo You Man will extend the evening with a DJ set around Tutti va bene, their EP to be released in 2019.
