A graduate of the École normale de musique de Paris, French countertenor Théo Imart has been selected for the 9th edition of the Jardin des Voix under the direction of William Christie and Paul Agnew. He received a special prize from the Amsterdam National Opera at the finals of the 41st Hans Gabor Belvedere International Competition. His opera roles include Idamante (Idoménée) at the Opéra de Baugé, Chérubin (Les Noces de Figaro) and Oreste (La Belle Hélène) at the Festival en plein air Musique en Ré, Amour, Amphinome et Junon (Le Retour d'Ulysse dans sa patrie) at the Théâtre de Bâle, Marc (La Vieille Maison) at the Angers-Nantes-Opéra. With Les Arts Florissants and William Christie, he sang Ramiro (La finta giardiniera) during a European tour (Theater an der Wien, Tchaikovsky Hall, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia).
In October 2023, he made his debut at the Theater St. Gallen as part of the theater's reopening in the world premiere of Tobias Picker's Lili Elbe, singing the Danish Countess, Dagmar and the Matron. Later that season, he returned for The Fairy Queen, conducted by Corinna Niemeyer. In concert, he has performed Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Vivaldi's Nulla in mundo pax with Les Arts Florissants and the Orchestre royal de Versailles at various festivals. He regularly collaborates with the Orchestre royal de Versailles on programs such as “3 Countertenors”, and took part in an Asian tour in April 2024, giving nine concerts across China, including at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, Shenzhen Concert Hall and Guangzhou Opera, where he performed arias by Vivaldi and Handel. In the summer of 2025, he returned to Aix-en-Provence, where he had been a member of the Académie, to sing the role of Destino (La Calisto), which he toured in France the following autumn.
