Rocio Ruiz Cobarro Soprano
Biography
Member of the Chœurs de l'Opéra national de Paris
After studying violin and choral conducting, Rocio Ruiz Cobarro devoted herself to opera singing, completing her training with Spanish soprano Ana María Sanchez and conductor Maciej Pikulski at the Basque Conservatory Musikene. During her studies, she took masterclasses with Susanne Elmark, Pilar Jurado and Aquiles Machado.
She has also performed as soloist with the symphony orchestra of her region, Murcia (Spain), and in various ensembles dedicated to early and contemporary music. On completion of her studies in 2018, she had the opportunity to perform at Madrid's Teatro Real as a chorus artist in Thaïs and Turandot. She will also take part in the January 2019 production of Madame Butterfly at the Royal Opera House in Muscat. She joins the Opéra national de Paris Chorus in February 2019.
