Moeka Ueno began studying piano at the age of 5. She also learned percussion, horn and composition. After studying at the Tokyo Metropolitan Senior High School of the Arts with Rintaro Akamatsu and Akira Eguchi, she was unanimously admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in 2019 for a degree in accompaniment, which she obtained in 2 years, as well as a chamber music degree in 2022. During this time, she worked with Claude Collet, Billy Eidi, Géraldine Dutroncy and Hei-Sung Kang.
In 2024, Moeka obtained her Master's degree in vocal conducting (in the classes of Erika Guiomard and Nathalie Dang) and vocal accompaniment (in the classes of Anne Le Bozec and Emmanuel Olivier) at the CNSMDP. She joins Ralf Heiber's vocal accompaniment class at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK) in Vienna in 2023 for six months as part of an ERASMUS program.
She was selected for the Aix-en-Provence Festival's vocal residency academy in 2023 and the Solti Academy in Venice as vocal conductor, and is invited to numerous international festivals as pianist/vocal conductor, such as the Colmar International Festival and the Festival transat en ville Rennes.
Moeka Ueno participates in numerous symphonic concerts with the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France as pianist, under the direction of renowned conductors such as Daniel Harding, Mikko Franck, Jakub Hrusa and Pablo Heras-Casado.
A member of the 2023-2024 Génération opéra class, she joins the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris in September 2024.
