Martin Grandperret

Biography
Martin Grandperret has been practicing martial arts at a high level since childhood, but it was at university that he discovered contemporary dance. After a stint at Anne-Marie Porras' professional training center, the first choreographer to hire him, he embarked on a career as a dancer-performer rich in encounters. Among the choreographers and directors with whom he has collaborated are Sylvie Pabiot, Stefany Batten Bland, Alex Lutz, Virginia Heinen, Damiano Foa, Catherine Dreyfus, Perrine Maurin, Sylvain Groud, Serge Ricci...
He worked exclusively as a dancer-performer for over 10 years. He set up the company La Nébuleuse de Septembre in 2015, and embarked on a work of research and show creation with the desire to marry his knowledge of contemporary dance with other disciplines such as live music, theater, sound creation or drawing. With his company, and in collaboration with various artists, he has created several pieces: Les Autres Soi, Nos Devenirs Imaginaires, L'exercice du Super héros, La Promesse.
The company's new creation 24, cité des Promesses will see the light of day in March 2025. In recent years, in parallel with his work with his own company, he has met and collaborated with several directors and worked as a choreographer for various institutions such as the Théâtre Scène National de Senart, the Académie de l'Opéra de Paris, La Philharmonie de Paris and the Cours Florent, where he teaches on an occasional basis.
Among these encounters was that with opera director Marie-Eve Signeyrole, with whom he choreographed several productions: Sex'y, Nabucco, Frédégonde. Since 2022, he has been artistic director of the Studio 19 project for the Philharmonie de Paris.
