Belgian soprano Louise Foor studied singing at the Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie (IMEP) in Namur, Belgium, before continuing her training at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. In September 2020, she wins first prize at the Virgilijus Noreika International Competition in Vilnius. In 2022, she makes her debut at several opera houses, including La Monnaie in Brussels, Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and Grand Théâtre de Genève. She has joined the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich for the 2023-2024 season. Recent engagements include her debut as Leïla (Les pêcheurs de perles) in Bordeaux and her first appearance at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
She is also a resident artist at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Waterloo. In the 2024-2025 season, Louise Foor will sing Lisette (La Rondine) at the Opéra de Metz, Frasquita (Carmen) at La Monnaie in Brussels, return to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and sing Frank Martin's Requiem in Geneva as part of Thierry Fischer's "Odyssée Frank Martin" project.
