Biography

Tenor Liang Wei studies at NanTong University in China, where he obtains his Bachelor's degree in 2014. He continued his studies in Italy at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin, where he obtained his Master's degree in 2020. In 2023, Liang Wei joined the Young Artist Training Program of the Warsaw State Opera in Poland.

He received numerous awards, including second prize at the China & Russia Cup in 2016, first prize at the Hong Kong International Vocal Competition in China in 2017, second prize at the Ada Sari Internazionale Vocal Competition in Poland in 2023, and first prize at the Opera na Zamku Tenor competition in Poland the same year.

In 2023, he appeared as Dan Jose in Bizet's Carmen at the Chopin University of Music and as Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca at the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Vatche Culture Center in the United States.

Liang Wei takes part in numerous concerts and recitals in China and Italy, including the International Youth Charity Concert at the Gengsu Grand Theater in Nantong, the New Year's Concert of the Music Department of the Art College of Nantong University at the Nantong Gengsu Theater, the Progetto Teresa Bellòe L'Italia incontra la Cina, the San Giacomo in music concert and the Concerto lirico In -Canto in Brandizzo. He also takes part in the Giuseppe Verdi concert at the Festival de Musique de Provence in France in 2023.

He joins the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris in September 2024.
