Puerto Rican mezzo-soprano Isabel Signoret graduated from Rice University and has performed with Wolf Trap Opera, the Aspen Music Festival, and Miami Music Festival.
In concert, she has performed Mozart’s Requiem and presented recitals of Spanish, Cuban, and Argentinian art songs with guitar and piano. She is a third year ensemble member of the Wiener Staatsoper, having completed a two year Studio residency.
Recent seasons highlights have included Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Rosine (The Barber of Seville for children), Mercédès (Carmen), Meg Page (Falstaff), Minerva (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria), Lola (Cavalleria rusticana), Amore / Valletto (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), Bersi (Andrea Chénier), Blumenmädchen (Parsifal) and The Page (Salomé), Amando (Le Grand Macabre), Zerlina, Muriel (Animal Farm), Tisbe and Meg Page at the Vienna Staatsoper.
During the 2024-2025 season, she is, among others, Mercédès, Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Zerlina, Despina (Così fan tutte), and Minerva at the Vienna Staatsoper.
