Member of the Chœurs de l'Opéra national de Paris
After graduating in music pedagogy in St. Petersburg, Irina Kopylova trained as an opera singer and stage actress with the masters of the Mariinsky Theatre, then gave numerous concerts and recitals in Russia, Finland and Italy. She continued her vocal studies in Italy, graduating from the Cimarosa Conservatory in Avellino and perfecting her skills with Raina Kabaivanska at the Osimo Lyric Academy. She took several solo roles there before returning to Russia, where she joined the troupe of the St Petersburg Opera, singing Gilda (Rigoletto) and taking part in numerous concerts.
Invited to France by the Festival Les Nuits Musicales de Bazoches to sing Gilda again, she decided to settle in Paris. After being invited to several festivals, she joined the Chœur de l'Opéra national de Paris and took part in numerous productions and concerts. She was invited by Alain Duault to take part in the CroisiEurope musical cruise from St. Petersburg to Moscow, where she performed a Russian repertoire accompanied on piano by Ludmila Berlinskaïa and François Chaplin. Invited by Ludmila Berlinskaya in July 2021, she takes part in the Festival La Clé des Portes, performing the role of Madame Chat in Shostakovich's Symphonic Tale.
