Ida Aldrian is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she worked under the direction of Marjana Lipovšek and Karl-Heinz Hanser, among others. She is currently a member of the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera and was a member of the ensemble of the Nuremberg State Opera from 2015 to 2018. She has recently appeared at the Staatsoper im Schillertheater in Berlin and the Opernhaus Zürich. Her repertoire includes the title role in Ariodante, Idamante (Idomeneo), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), Adalgisa (Norma), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Fiodor (Boris Godounov). As Daughter of the Rhine (Wellgunde) and Valkyrie (Siegrune), she is part of the ensemble of singers in "The Wagner Cycles" project under the direction of Kent Nagano.
Ida Aldrian has also worked with numerous European orchestras and ensembles, including the Concentus Musicus Wien, L'Orfeo Barockorchester, the Wiener Akademie Orchester, the Haydn and Minetti Quartets, the Baroque orchestras Capella Leopoldina, Neue Hofkapelle Graz and Ensemble Barucco, the Norwegian ensemble Barokksolistene, the Bach Consort Wien and Ensemble Pygmalion. She has worked with conductors such as Simone Young, Kent Nagano, Thomas Hengelbrock, Fabio Luisi and Pablo Heras-Casado.
Recent recitals have taken her to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Philharmonie in Cologne, the KKL as part of the Lucerne Festival, the Villa Rufolo (Ravello), the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Musikverein in Vienna. She performed Telemann's Miriways with L'Orfeo Barockorchester under the baton of Michi Gaigg at the Brucknerfest in Linz. As a recitalist, she has appeared in numerous venues, including the Vienna Musikverein and Graz.
