Hanna-Elisabeth Müller was a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich from 2012 to 2016. She made her international debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2014 as Zdenka (Arabella), for which she was named Young Artist of the Year by Opernwelt magazine. Since then, she has appeared on major international opera stages. In recent seasons she has sung the roles of Eva (Les Maîtres chanteurs de Nuremberg), Countess Almaviva (The Marriage of Figaro), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and the title role of Daphné at the Vienna State Opera, Donna Anna at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and at La Scala in Milan, Marzelline (Fidelio), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro) and Pamina (The Magic Flute) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Ilia (Idomeneo) at the Zurich Opera, Elettra (Idomeneo) at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Vitellia (La Clemenza di Titus) in Salzburg.
Concert performances include Strauss' Four Last Songs, Mahler's Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection", Brahms' A German Requiem, Beethoven's Missa solemnis, Berg's Seven Early Songs and Dvořák's Stabat Mater. In the 2024-2025 season, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller will appear as Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) and Countess Almaviva at the Vienna State Opera and as Eva and Elettra at the Berlin State Opera.
Her concert appearances include Strauss' Four Last Songs with the Zurich Philharmonic, Hugo Wolf's Italian Songbook at the Zurich Opera, Mahler's Symphony no. 2 "Resurrection" with the Orchestre national de France in Paris, then with the Académie natinale Sainte-Cécile in Rome, and Mahler's Symphony no. 4 with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. Hanna-Elisabeth Müller is an exclusive Pentatone artist. She will release the albums "Traumgekrönt" (2017), "Reine de Coeur" (2020) and "Sinnbild" (2022).
