Biography

Born in 1984, Émilie began her musical studies at the age of six at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux in the class of Micheline Lefebvre. In 2002, she was admitted to the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM) to study with Olivier Charlier, graduating in 2006 with highest honors. She continued her training at the Hochschule in Cologne with Mihaela Martin, and pursued further studies at the Paris Conservatoire in the chamber music class of Claire Désert and Amy Flammer.

Passionate about orchestral playing from an early age, she joined the GMJO and, in 2004, was invited by Claudio Abbado to take part in founding the Orchestra Mozart in Bologna (Italy).

In 2007, she was appointed First Soloist of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège in Belgium, with which she recorded, as a soloist, Le Poème de l’Amitié by E. Ysaÿe under the baton of Jean-Jacques Kantorow.

In 2015, she joined the Paris Opera Orchestra.

Also devoted to chamber music, Émilie has performed at numerous chamber music festivals in France and abroad. During her years in Belgium, she was a member of the Malibran Quartet, with which she recorded the documentary film S’Enfuir by J. Thome, devoted to the music of A. Huybrechts.

She is now a member of the Quatuor Hermiones, formed within the Paris Opera, alongside Vanessa Jean, Anne-Aurore Anstett, and Clara Strauss.

Émilie is an artist committed to defending cultural rights, promoting access to culture, and sharing art with the widest possible audience.
