Ballet and Junior Ballet
Audition for female and male dancers of the Paris Opera Corps de Ballet and Junior Ballet. Permanent and temporary positions.
The Paris Opera Ballet never organises private auditions nor recruits on videos. Recruitment is only possible through our annual competition.

Auditions for the Ballet and Junior Ballet
Application deadline: Sunday June 1st, at 11.59 pm
Audition course
The audition is opened to dancers aged above 16 years old.
A preselection will be processed.
Auditions for the selected candidates will be held on Monday June 30th 2025 for men identifying dancers and on Wednesday July 2nd 2025 for women identifying dancers at the Palais Garnier.

Corps de Ballet and Junior Ballet contracts
Following the audition days, permanent contracts may be offered for positions in the Corps de Ballet, as well as fixed-term contracts for the season.
Professionalization contracts (24-month) will be offered by the “Opera national de Paris” for dancers aged between 17 (on January 1, 2025) and 23 (on September 1, 2025), for the Junior Ballet.
All applicants to the Ballet's external competition who meet these selection criteria may be offered one of these contracts following the audition days on June 30 and July 2, 2025.
All applications already received for the Ballet's external competition are likely to be selected for the Junior Ballet, so there is no need to re-submit an application.
