Mezzo-soprano Aude Extrémo is a performer of the French repertoire. These last seasons, she also made her role debuts as Fricka (Die Walküre) at Opéra de Bordeaux, Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde) at Opéra national de Lorraine, Amneris (Aida) at Opéra de Massy and Erda (Das Rheingold) at Theater Dortmund. On the concert platform, she appeared in Verdi’s Messa di Requiem with the Orchestre de Paris under the baton of Jaap van Zweden and with Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse under Jukka-Pekka Saraste, in Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen at the Musiques Interdites Festival, Chausson’s Poème de l'amour et de la mer at Opéra national de Lyon under Daniele Rustioni and, for the Aix en Provence Festival, in Mussorgsky's Songs and Dances of Death under Marko Letonja, as well as in Shostakovich’s From Jewish Folk Poetry under François-Xavier Roth. Other concert appearances include St Matthew’s Passion (Bach) with the Rotterdam Philharmonic and Nathalie Stutzmann, Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder at Opéra de Tours with Emmanuel Joel and Berlioz’s Nuits d'été with Orchestre national d'Avignon-Provence.
The 2024/25 season sees her role debuts as Azucena (Il Trovatore) at Opéra de Marseille under the baton of Michele Spotti and as Judith (Le Château de Barbe-Bleue) at Opéra de Dijon conducted by Kristiina Poska. She also appears as Maddalena (Rigoletto) at the Paris Opera. She also performs in Mahler’s Symphony No 3 conducted by Gabriel Feltz.
