Asmik Grigorian performs on the most important international opera stages: Vienna State Opera, New York Metropolitan Opera, Salzburg Festival, London Royal Opera House... She has received numerous international awards, such as the Golden Cross of the Stage (the highest award for singers in Lithuania). She was named Best Singer of the Year at the Austrian Musical Theater Awards in 2019, Opera Singer of the Year at the Ópera XXI Association in 2022, and Opera Singer of the Year at the Opus Klassik Awards in 2023.
In 2024 she was awarded the Special Jury Prize of the Austrian Musical Theater Awards in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the art of opera and theater in Austria. She has recorded numerous discs for Alpha Classics, including "Dissonance" (Rachmaninov Melodies), her first album in collaboration with pianist Lukas Geniušas, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 14 with the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Mikko Franck, and "Laws of Solitude", where she recorded Richard Strauss' Four Last Songs in both their orchestral and piano versions.
In the 2024-2025 season, Asmik Grigorian will make her debut in the title role of Rusalka at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
She also made her debuts as Elisabetta (Don Carlo) at the Vienna State Opera and as Norma at the Theater an der Wien. In the summer, she returned to the title role of Salomé for a version with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antonio Pappano, and sang Lady Macbeth (Macbeth) at the Salzburg Festival.
