Antoine Dutaillis is a French pianist, vocalist and conductor. He has trained by conducting numerous orchestras in France and abroad, including the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the North Hungary Symphonic Orchestra, the Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice, Poland), the Orchestre national de Metz, the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire and the Orchestre de Picardie.
In 2022, he obtained a master's degree in orchestral conducting, graduating with highest honors by unanimous decision, from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP), in Alain Altinoglu's class. Since then, he has been assistant conductor to Alexandre Bloch (Orchestre national de Lille), Michael Schønwandt (Orchestre Français des Jeunes), Alain Altinoglu (La Monnaie de Bruxelles), Semyon Bychkov (Chœur et Orchestre de Paris) and Laurence Equilbey (Accentus and Insula). Antoine Dutaillis was a semi-finalist in the Siemens-Hallé International Conducting Competition.
In opera, he assisted Alexander Briger on Britten's Turn of the Screw, a Philharmonie de Paris co-production. He also conducted a concert version of Mozart's The Magic Flute in Valenciennes.
As a pianist, he studied voice direction with Erika Guiomar at the CNSMDP and piano accompaniment with Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and Reiko Hozu. He has worked with prestigious opera artists and conductors such as Barbara Hannigan, Karine Deshayes, Peter Eötvös, Lawrence Foster, Mikko Franck, Bertrand de Billy and Mathieu Pordoy. He regularly collaborates as a pianist with orchestras, contemporary ensembles and the theatrical scene (Hall de la Chanson).
Antoine Dutaillis also holds a master's degree in composition, which he obtained with honors (Thierry Escaich, Jean-François Zygel), as well as orchestration and analysis prizes from the CNSMDP, where he currently holds a position as piano accompanist.
Keen to share his love of music with a wide range of audiences, he directed a choir of 350 schoolchildren from the Ile-de-France region for a concert at the Zénith in Paris. He also conducted musicians from the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris with an amateur choir from a diverse background, for the creation of a work by Thierry Escaich, Ballade, broadcast on “3e Scène”. Since September 2023, he has been conducting a Démos orchestra for the Grand Est region.
In September 2024, he joins the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris. In the 24/25 season, he will make his debut as guest conductor with the Orchestre national de Lille and the Orchestre de Picardie.
