Adam Smith performs on the world's major opera stages. Recent highlights include Don José (Carmen) at the Royal Opera House London, Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca) at the Hamburg State Opera and Romeo (Romeo and Juliet) at the Washington National Opera. His 2024-2025 season begins with his debut as Radamès (Aida) at the Opéra de Rouen-Normandie under the baton of Pierre Bleuse. It continues with his debut at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, where he will sing the Prince (Rusalka) alongside Asmik Grigorian in a new production by Dmitri Tcherniakov. He then returned to the Opéra national de Lyon as Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly). He made his debut at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin as Pinkerton in a production by Eike Gramss and also sang Julien (Louise) at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence. In concert, he made his debut in Verdi's Requiem with the Stuttgart Philharmonic conducted by Carlo Goldstein.
