Synopsis
A programme of contrasts which pairs the allusive fin-de-siècle sensuality of Ravel’s Schéhérazade with the profoundly painful lyricism of Shostakovich's cycle Six Poems of Marina Tsvetaeva, in tribute to the Russian poet. The performance ends with the rhythms and melodies of the Spanish and Argentine composers, Obrador and Ramirez.
