Synopsis
In their annual concert at the Opera of Paris, a part of the celebrations for the 25 years anniversary of the program Dix Mois d’Ecole et d’Opéra, the "Petits violons " will be accompanied by the musicians in residence at the Academy. The program of the concert includes contemporary scores and arrangements of famous pages of instrumental music repertoire, as well as songs arranged for choir: form Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes through Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony to Mahler’s First Symphony, and the English Baroque songs by Purcell to French songs of Georges Brassens. The concert also marks the end of the second class of "Petits violons ", whose 25 students have, since September 2013, practiced the violin, viola and cello on a regular basis and were accompanied, during the 2015/16 season, by Renaud Capuçon, violin teacher Anouk Ross, cello teacher Vincent Catulescu, pianist Bruno Perbost, and choir director Jordan Morgan.
