To mark its New York tour, the Paris Opera Ballet is joining with New York City Ballet and the Bolshoi to pay tribute to Balanchine, 50 years after the creation of Jewels
Fifty years after its première at New York’s Lincoln Center, the three prestigious companies are coming together to give five performances of George Balanchine’s masterpiece: Jewels.
The three world-famous companies will be sharing Balanchine’s work: while the Paris Opera Ballet will perform Emeralds, the New York City Ballet and the Bolshoi will be dancing Rubies and Diamonds respectively.
The company is travelling to New York for the occasion and will include:
