Report from the 15 January 2024
International day against childhood cancer
February 15 is International Childhood Cancer Day.
In France, 2,500 children and teenagers are diagnosed with cancer every year. More than 20% cannot be cured. Two-thirds of cured children and adolescents suffer long-term after-effects of treatment.
For the second year running, the Paris Opera is joining forces with the 2500 Voix movement and the React4Kids collective to welcome researchers who will be raising funds entirely for research. They will be on hand during the performance of Sadeh21 at the Palais Garnier, to chat with the audience in the Grand Foyer before and after the show.
You too can join the #jejoinsmavoix movement or support research into childhood cancers by making a donation at 2500voix.org.
All donations are donated to and used by the React4Kids (REsearchers in oncology ACTing for Kids) research network, the national network for basic and translational research into childhood and young people's cancers, which brings together almost 500 French researchers.
