Finalist and “Special Mention” of the 2019 Besançon International Competition, French conductor Victor Jacob is a regular guest with European and international orchestras. These include the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, the Orchestre Royal Philharmonique de. Liège, Orchestre de l'Opéra de Rouen-Normandie, Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Orchestre Symphonique de Tours, Esbjerg Ensemble in Denmark, Moscow State Philharmonia and Orchestre de Picardie.
In opera, Victor is also invited to conduct or assist the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, the Orchestre Symphonique de La Monnaie, the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, and has trained in the operatic repertoire with Antonio Pappano, Nathalie Stutzmann and Paolo Arrivabeni. During the 22/23 season, he conducted the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, as well as at the Chorégies d'Orange, and shared the bill with Katia Buniatishvilli, Michael Spyres, Gaëlle Arquez, Julie Fuchs, Lucienne Renaudin Vary and Edgar Moreau. This season, Victor Jacob makes his debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de RadioFrance, the Orquestra Sinfonica Simon Bolivar de Venezuela, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre National Avignon-Provence and the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal de Versailles.
From 2019 to 2022, he was assistant conductor with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège and Gergely Madaras, then with the Orchestre National de Lille under Alexandre Bloch. Victor Jacob received the title of Revelation Conductor at the 2023 Victoires de la Musique Classique awards. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, he trained with Alain Altinoglu, Sian Edwards and Colin Metters, and received guidance from Paavo and Kristjan Järvi, Leonid Grin, Marin Alsop, David Zinman, Lawrence Foster and Bernard Haitink.
