Biography
Stefanie Arndt trained at the Hamburg Ballet and Opera School. In 1983, she won the Prix de Lausanne and joined the Hamburg Ballet company under the direction of John Neumeier. She became a principal dancer and performed all the main roles in the classical and contemporary repertoires. She has worked with many choreographers and several roles have been created for her.
Her work as a dancer has won several awards. In 1994, she joined the Frankfurt Ballet as a principal dancer and worked closely with William Forsythe, performing all his major works. Since 2002, she has been assisting William Forsythe and remounting his works all over the world. Stefanie Arndt works internationally as a director, teacher and coach. She has also assisted David Dawson and Jacopo Godani in several of their creations.
