In 2007, she initiated a creative personal artistic project for the stage. Silvia Costa proposes a visual, poetic form of theatre which explores image to trigger the thought processes of her audience. An author, director, performer and stage designer, this multifaceted artist uses every artistic medium to conduct her exploration of theatre. A nomad of form, she has staged numerous performances, productions, installations and video presentations.
Her latest creation Dans le pays de l’hiver, inspired by Cesare Pavese’s Dialogues with Leuco, was staged at the Festival d’Automne in Paris and at the MC93 in Bobigny. In 2017 / 2018, she was an associate artist at the Teatro dell’Arte / Triennale in Milan and in 2019, she will be collaborating with the CND Le Quai in Angers. She has also been creating installations for young audiences since 2012. The most recent of these was an adaptation of the Jules Renard novel Carrot Top, which was originally staged at the Festival d’Automne in Paris and the Théâtre NanterreAmandiers in 2016. Her works have been presented at some of the principal festivals in Italy and abroad.
