Milan Siljanov is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Prior to this, he studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Zurich, where he obtained a master's degree in pedagogy. In the course of his career with the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich ensemble, he has performed the roles of Leporello (Don Giovanni), Dulcamara (L'Élixir d'amour), Schaunard (La Bohème), Donner (L'Or du Rhin), Peter (Hänsel und Gretel), Montano (Otello), Harashta (Le Petite Renarde rusée) and Kilian (Le Franc-tireur), working with Kirill Petrenko, Antonello Manacorda, Bertrand de Billy, Hans Kupfer, Lotte de Beer and many others. In recent seasons, he made his debut as the Gamekeeper (The Cunning Little Vixen) at Theater an der Wien.
He appeared at the Verbier Festival as Silvano (Un bal masqué) and returned to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for Hänsel et Gretel, La Traviata, La Flûte enchantée and La Calisto. Concert appearances include Bach's Mass in B minor, Verdi's Messa di Requiem, Bach's St. Matthew Passion, Puccini's Messa da Gloria, Mozart's Requiem and Beethoven's Symphony no. 9. A member of the Académie de Verbier 2016, Milan Siljanov was awarded the Prix Yves Paternot.
He was the winner of the 2015 Wigmore Hall Singing Competition. He won the Audience Prize and Second Prize at the ARD International Vocal Competition in 2018, and was a finalist at the Moniuzsko Competition in Warsaw in 2019. In the 2024-2025 season, his roles at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich include Cesare Angelotti (Tosca), Donner, Peter and Kilian.
