The Paris Opera Ballet never organises private auditions nor recruits on videos. Recruitment is only possible through our annual competition.

Applications are now closed.
Audition course
Auditions for the selected candidates will be held on Tuesday July 2nd 2024 for men identifying dancers and on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 for women identifying dancers at the Palais Garnier.
The audition is opened to dancers aged above 16 years old.
The compulsory variations are now online below.

Junior Ballet
Following the launch of the Junior Ballet, 18 professionalization contracts (24-month) will be offered by the “Opera national de Paris” for dancers aged between 17 (on January 1, 2024) and 23 (on September 1, 2024).
All applicants to the Ballet's external competition who meet these selection criteria may be offered one of these contracts following the audition days on July 2 and 3, 2024.
All applications already received for the Ballet's external competition are likely to be selected for the Junior Ballet, so there is no need to re-submit an application.
