Sébastien Laudenbach competed in the most prestigious festivals through its past achievements : Journal (1998, Youth award in Clermont-Ferrand), Des Câlins dans les cuisines (2004, preselection Césars 2005), Regarder Oana (2009, Selections Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand), Vasco (2010, Critics’Week Cannes 2010, preselection Césars 2012) and Daphné ou la belle plante co-directed with Sylvain Derosne (2015 Prix Emile Reynaud). The Girl Without Hands is his first feature film, adapted from the short story by the Brothers Grimm.
