French-American from a family of filmmakers, David Luraschi is a photographer based in Paris. Popular culture, film history and folklore feed into his inspirations allowing him to generate what he likes to call "do it yourself" mythology. Documentarian with enthusiasm in the realistic, Luraschi uses his personal life as a studio: his nomadic adventures to produce landscapes and nudes, his daily commutes to record his passion for people watching.
His photographs have been published internationally and exhibited in the US, Switzerland, France, Canada, United Kingdom and Spain. Between academic lectures and commercial work, Luraschi produces personal projects in pursuit of real life characters, his most recent film follows the self-publishing pioneer Ralph Gibson.
